Catastrophe

In the silent void where stars watch over the cosmos, Lord Xylothor and the Shadow Sect ventured close to the Sol System, anticipation running as deep as the surrounding darkness. What met their gaze, however, was not the familiar icy embrace of the Oort Cloud, but a void—an unsettling emptiness where once countless fragments of ice and rock had danced in the distant reaches.

The absence of the Oort Cloud cast a pall over Xylothor, General Major Zythrian, and their entourage. This void in the cosmos, a missing piece of the celestial puzzle, whispered of mysteries and alterations unfathomable to their understanding. It was as though a majestic masterpiece of the universe had been unraveled, leaving behind a blank canvas that mocked their expectations.

As they made the decision to retreat to the safety of Microxus, the fabric of space itself seemed to betray them. In an instant, a cosmic anomaly ensnared their vessel, redirecting their course in a dizzying leap through the stars. They found themselves not among the familiar orbits of Microxus, but at the towering gates of Xylothor’s dark citadel.

This abrupt return, a jarring end to their journey, was a clear sign—their passage through the nightmare had been severed by an unseen force, a dreamer awakening from slumber. The universe, in its infinite complexity, had rejected their path and set them on another.

Lord Xylothor, ever the master of his own fate, saw not defeat but a momentary obstacle in this unexpected conclusion. With the vast expanse of space as his domain, he was undeterred. “Find another nightmare,” he commanded, his voice a dark ripple across the void.

His words were a directive that sent them into the depths of space, each member a messenger of their lord’s will. They dispersed with a singular purpose—to ensnare new nightmares, to weave the threads of fear and despair into a fabric that would blanket the worlds in their dark embrace.
